Bella and Squeak

Rosie and Squeak came into our family, from another family that had moved from Christchurch city, to Auckland City/New Zealand.

That family had no means of taking care of these special girls, so my mama and papa decided to adopt them.

Not long after arriving in their new establishment. Wee Squeak had an injury, and her back legs became semi-paralysed.
This came about, because the little one was not used to being held ( in her previous environment ).
And....while being placed back into her area, after having her nails cut, she jumped and landed in a not-so-good way.

The next day Squeak was at the vet.

The vet looked over Squeak and supplied her with a medicine ( that was used for cats ).
The vet assured mama that over time - she would re-gain the use of her back legs.

Mama, also researched how to help guinea pig's heal after an occurrence, such as this.
Because Squeak had minor paralysis to her back legs. It was imperative for her to gain movement when and where possible.

SOooooo......it was spotted on YouTube, where a vet was treating a paralysed guinea pig, in warm water..from then on Squeak received a warm bath, where she was able to swim around and use her back legs. Over a period of a month she received the best care possible..

I'm delighted to write...SHE IS NOW USING HER BACK LEGS....All that effort has really paid off!

Well done Squeak! and thanks to Bella for the support.
